Ai is now the SECRET WEAPON for Sales Consultants
Thanks for tuning in.
Have you or your sales consultants and other dealer personnel starting using an Ai app yet?
Many of our dealers have been thrilled by the power and speed of these apps.
Ai apps can be used in various ways for dealers to enhance their sales process, improve customer interactions, and streamline their workflows. In this video, I’ll show you the most common ways dealers are using Ai apps.
The four most common apps we find are ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft’s Copilot and Google’s Genesis.
Most of today’s CRMs do not ask the correct questions required to properly qualify customers and who knows when their programs were even written? Perhaps it’s time to update the tools we use for qualifying customers. After all, better questions lead to improved vehicle presentations and demonstration drives.
1. The first impressive use of an Ai app is when a sales consultant approaches the sales manager to touch desk, profiles their customer and confirms selection. A question that should be asked of a customer is the following:
“Have you decided on this model as the one or are you considering other makes and models?”
Your sales consultant nor you want to find out that the customers are considering other makes and models after presenting a proposal to close a sale. Most sales consultants will get flustered and are unable to address the advantages of their vehicle vs. the competitors because they are unprepared. Some manufacturers offer a product comparison tool but if used too late on a customer visit, the results will become ineffective.
This is where an Ai app can assist sales consultants and sales managers while in the game. When a sales consultant approaches the sales manager and their customer is looking at other vehicles, the sales manager can quickly type in an Ai app such as ChatGPT a question like, what are the advantages of a 2025 Toyota Rav4 over a 2025 Honda CRV and within seconds have a report created as the one you see on the screen. The sales consultant can bring the report over to their customer or a sales manager can go out and meet the customers and share the findings.
2. Another use for an Ai app is to research product knowledge for an off-make vehicle that most of the staff know little about.
3. These apps can also be used to assist in developing an e-lead reply.
4. A reply to a sales call inquiry.
5. Ideas for follow-up
6. Suggestions on how to overcome objections like, “I want to speak with the boss.”
7. Content creation for social media platforms, blogs, website, newsletters, automotive tips
8. Marketing materials, ad creation and vehicle descriptions
9. Market analysis for social media targeting. For example. What area in Toronto Canada has the greatest density of men over the age of 50. And
10. Consumer trends of all sorts.
There are more uses for other dealership staff you could and should explore. Start with your sales team. Show them this video. At your next sales meeting, hop on the free version of ChatGPT and demonstrate Ai power and speed. As a reminder, the dataset for the free version of ChatGPT only went up to 2021. The latest version of ChatGPT is called 4.0 Plus and costs about $20 per month and offers the most current information available online. Technology is empowering allowing us to create better interactions with customers today. Embrace technology and it will reward you.
